Matt has had 2 more good days of PT. Now Lauren (PT) is no longer helping to keep his left knee straight and he only has 2 people walking alongside of him. He is stepping with his left leg all by himself and yesterday afternoon he walked 100 feet, about double from the day before. In OT they attached electrodes to different parts of his left arm to stimulate the muscles. Matt said he felt like Frankenstein the way it caused is hand and elbow to respond with jerkey movements. He also got his first shower yesterday. He will not have quite as much therapy on the weekend, but the therapists showed us things we can work on with him. And Matt's voice is getting stronger so is easier to understand him on the phone. His phone # is 318-681-1735, so feel free to call, the earlier the better - like 6:30-7:00 am because that is when he is up and wants to talk while waiting for the PT. Oh, the doctor said yesterday that he will probably be an inpatient for 3-4 weeks, which I was surprised to hear since I thought it would be 3-4 months, so that was encouraging to hear. I am going home today so Sarah will try to post updates but will probably be more like once a week. Thank you again for your prayers - we continue to experience God's goodness and strength through all this.
"God blesses the people who patiently endure testing. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him." James 1:12
