The long awaited MEB....

Okay so we are trying to keep our heads up about the MEB (medical evaluation board) which should (and i say "should" we know the AF God love it) be starting in the next couple of weeks. Word on the street is that we are looking at some sort of medical retirement, but who knows. We won't know until we go through the process. And we are totally praying for a retirement! Matt's slowly taking it all in and realizing that flying for the AF is pretty much over...hes already talking about buying an acrobatic airplane (any investors please contact dirty) and I am just along for the ride. If that makes him happy, as long as he's working, then go for it! This of course is a couple years away as we do not know what work will be like in the civilian world. yuck. we still can't get used to the idea (no offense to all our friends!) BUT, we are trusting God and praying that this transition will all go smoothly...that the house will sell...and the mustang. Yes, we are selling the Stang, pictures will be shamelessly posted on the blog to interest buyers:-)

The plan is to move up to Milwaukee for a couple of months and to live with Matt's parents. They are so kind to take us in and I can't help but smile at the fact that Matt is 30 and we are moving into his parent's basement! No, seriously, we are so thankful to them and don't know what we'd do without the offer! I would like Matt to go to Froedert (one of the top rehab hospitals in the country) to rehab it up for several months hard core. Docs tell us he needs 5-6 hours a day, so in my opinion, while we are in Milwaukee this should be his full time job. I don't feel he is getting nearly what he needs here and am praying it will work out for him to hold off on joining the rat race and focus on getting better for the months that we are there. We anticipate (yet again, can't say at all for sure) that we will be making this move sometime this summer.

And as posted below, we are looking for a sweet, caring person to perhaps take the kittie cats while we are in WI. Let us know if you'd be willing!

Thanks for the continued prayers, obviously this is a big transition period. Please continue to pray for Matt's health and the healing of his brain.

A couple of neat things...Matt is now in a really need rehab with this like bionic arm thing called "bioness." Seems to be helping, but its something he should use for months. And, we got a Wii from Matt's parents and their bible study group!!!! I mean how cool is that? Studies show they help with rehab, so we are hoping that this will be a fun way to get some movement back for Matt.

Hopefully I'll update more now that we have ordered a new digital camera. My son took it upon himself to throw ours in his pool about a month ago...hence the lack of pictures:-)
