We just spent a wonderful couple of days in Seaside, Florida with my family. It was so nice and relaxing and I didn't realize how much we needed it! The weather was pretty warm and we enjoyed being beach bums and not doing anything for a couple of days!
Since I am adding info and updating the blog...a couple of things to update about going on w/the Role's crew. Matt did have a car wreck last night (and he is ok for those who were worried) it was determined by doctors that he most likely did have a seizure which caused him to black out and wreck the car. He wasn't going very fast and was not injured. They did a catscan to see if there were any new developements with his brain that could've caused this and said that everything looked great. So, they just said that is very normal to have seizures after brain surgery and he is now back on his seizure medicine. Most importantly, he was not hurt and neither was anyone else. The thing that stinks is that now he can't drive for 6 months! My taste of freedom is now gone and I am putting the chauffer cap back on:-) Not quite sure how we are going to manage to get him to work, rehab, massages, and acupuncture w/me working a couple of days a week, but we will figure it out. If that is the worst thing to come out of this I am very thankful. I was very concerned there was going to be something going on in his head. Please pray for us though!
We also appreciate your continued prayers as we feel it is now clear to us that we need to look into other options for Matt's rehab. His arm is not coming back as quickly as we (or his OT) would like to see. One big option is to move up to Milwaukee for 2 months so Matt can participate in a new clinical study. This sounds really good. He could also get really good rehab up there while doing it we think. Anyways, we need doors to open and open big! We need him to get accepted into the study and then we need the Air Force to let him go. Please pray for us! We think this would be a really good thing, but obviously God knows.
We hope you are all doing great this spring. We think of you all often and look forward to seeing some family and friends in the next couple of months hopefully!
